Flash Point Campaign

What is Flash Point?

The Flash Point Campaign System is a yearly campaign with minimal book keeping and time commitment.  The campaign is broken up into the 4 seasons of winter, spring, summer and fall.  During those seasons players will coordinate with the campaign manager to select game nights to play flash point missions that will add to their team’s score.

Players are broken into teams of Xenos, Imperium and Chaos. Players participate in one themed gamed per Flash Point Night and earn 2 points for winning their game and 1 point for playing fully painted. Players play games against opposing factions.

Flash Point Night?

Players work with the game manager to determine when the next Flash Point Night is.  The manager will try to give 2 weeks notice to the participants.

A Flash Point Night consists of players coming to their FLGS (Drawbridge) and choosing an opponent of an opposing faction.  They will then play the selected Mission of the Night using their crusade roster and report their game results to the campaign manager.

What are the rules?

We will be using the 9th edition rule set as well as the crusade campaign rules.

Whats expected of the players?

Players are expected to maintain a crusade campaign roster for the duration of each season.  Players are encouraged to play fully painted which earns points in each game that they play with a fully painted and based army.  Players may start new crusade rosters per season but are encouraged to stay in the same faction.

Here's an example:

Flash Point Incisive Attack!

Eternal War - Combat Patrol: Incisive Attack
25 power point Combat Patrol using your Crusade Roster

Campaign Manager: Ryan N.

Journeyman Jan. 2017

In an effort to bring in newer players I helped convince our local press ganger we should start off 2017 with a new journeyman league.  I thought it would it would give an opportunity to players who had purchased or received battle boxes over Christmas a chance to hop into our local meta.  Most of the local guys are starting with just new casters and playing the battle box with factions they already have but I decided to knock out the Skorne I had gotten with the two player Hordes box I had purchased to start my Trollbloods. I’m having no trouble painting the Trollbloods but I was afraid that the Skorne would sit on the shelf much like my circle has.  With this league I can knock them out and have a 75 point list completed and then happily move onto the Trolls. Why two Hordes factions all of a sudden?  Honestly I’ve been a bit frustrated with Cryx in its current incarnation and have been a bit overly affected by the Privateer Press forums doom and gloom.  I ...
