Sky Fall: An Alpha Strike Group Scenario

3059 - Smoke Jaguar Occupation Zone - Formerly Draconis Combine - Tarazed System


Operation Bull Dog - Wave 1

The newly reformed Star League Defense Force has settled on a target. Clan Smoke Jaguar. Months of preparation are over and the the first wave of planetary assaults has begun. The SLDF is combat dropping their main force right on top of the Smoke Jaguar Command and Control facilities on the planet Tarazed.  Unfortunately Jaguar Aerospace assets have disrupted the deployment causing the drop pods to scatter from their drop zones.


Player Force Setup:

SLDF: 400 points per player - Attackers (3 players)

Smoke Jaguars: 500 points per player - Defenders (2 players). Team has 12 Battlefield Support points.

Limits: Players may not have more than (1) Skill 1 mechwarrior in their force.


Table Setup: 

The table will be set up with three distinct urban areas surrounded by rolling hills and light woods. The Urban areas are designated as the Airfield, Command Base and Infantry base. All objectives begin under Smoke Jaguar Control

Objectives: 

Objectives are scored at the end of each battle round. Objective buildings will be hextech with associated objective marker.

Airfield Control Tower: Control +1 VP

Special: if the SLDF control the Tower they receive one Defense Aerospace Support order at the start of the round. ( Order cancels one enemy Aerospace card)

If the Smoke Jaguars control the Tower at the start of the 3rd, 6th and 9th rounds they gain a light strike support card.


Jaguar Command HQ: Control +5 VP

Special: May only be scored from the 2nd round on.


Infantry Barracks: Control +1 VP

Special: At the start of round 4 and each subsequent round, if under Smoke Jaguar control the barracks generates 1 point of elements which are deployed within 3” of the building. 1 Star (5 points) may be generated in this way.


Deployment: 

Smoke Jaguars: deploy all of their units first within 12” of an Objective area.


SLDF: The SLDF units are reaching the battlefield via Assault Pod.  However the Smoke Jaguars have disrupted the launch so now the pods are landing scattered about the drop zone. Each SLDF lance will receive a playing card.  Match the card with “Ryan’s poorly drawn chart”  to determine its starting location.

Flash Point Campaign

What is Flash Point? The Flash Point Campaign System is a yearly campaign with minimal book keeping and time commitment.  The campaign is broken up into the 4 seasons of winter, spring, summer and fall.  During those seasons players will coordinate with the campaign manager to select game nights to play flash point missions that will add to their team’s score. Players are broken into teams of Xenos, Imperium and Chaos. Players participate in one themed gamed per Flash Point Night and earn 2 points for winning their game and 1 point for playing fully painted. Players play games against opposing factions. Flash Point Night? Players work with the game manager to determine when the next Flash Point Night is.  The manager will try to give 2 weeks notice to the participants. Black Parade: an Alpha Strike Scenario

  Premise: The local noble family is participating in a parade in their capital city. Though their security forces have warned them against participating they have insisted on going.  Their enemy have seized the opportunity that has be presented and sent an assassination force to destroy the parade convoy. Set Up:  The table should be a city scape with a large number of buildings.  Designate one short edge to be the parades starting location.  The other short edge will be the escape edge. Deployment: Defender: The defender moves their units onto the table during the first round from the parade start table edge. Attacker: The attacker may deploy up to two(2) units of infantry or battle armor inside of buildings anywhere on the table during the first round.  All other units move onto the table from either long edge during the second round.
