2019 Painting Challenge

Earlier today I was working on a spread sheet to get a grip on my unpainted plastic soldier addiction.  It’s not like I have a problem.  I can stop at any time.  I don’t need to buy that next big GW release or that limited run Kingdom Death Monster mini.  Nope, not a problem.

So it turns out I have over 1000 unpainted minis sitting around.  That is only a little back log right?  No, don’t look in the terrain boxes!  Oh god what have I done!

Joking aside, it was a bit of a shock when I actually tried to count how many mini’s I have lying around unpainted.   This does however bring up an early New Years resolution challenge for 2019.  To get all of those done in a year I would have to fully paint/base 3 mini’s a day.  Probably not going to happen.  I am how ever going to try and paint an average of 10 miniatures a week to table top quality.  52 weeks x 10 minis = 520 mini’s in a year.

Not sure how/if I’ll count terrain.  I’ll take photos at the end of every month to try an hold myself accountable as well as maintain a spread sheet.  We’ll also try to get into the habit for the rest of 2018.

Wish me luck and mental fortitude!
