Battle 1: Planet Fall


Objectives: The eldar are assaulting the imperial orbital canons defending Futuris Clevanlandis so that they can bring orbital assets to bear.  
Objective 1: Destroy the Shield Generator protecting the Orbital Cannon.
Objective 2: Destroy the Orbital Cannon

Game Length: 5 turns

Deployment: See deployment map,  Imperials deploy first using a standard deployment zone.  Additionally each imperial player may place 5 sentries (any appropriate model on the objective they are defending.  They act like solo character models and do not count towards their army list limit.


Shield Generator Hit location Table:

1 -4: Outer Pylons - Armor 18
5-6: Central Core - Armor 22

Outer Pylons:
1: The attack ricochets off the energy field in a random direction 2d6 inches.  If the richochet could reasonably hit a model in the direction and distance rolled it roll to wound and make armor saves as if that model was the target of the attack.
2-4: A pylon is damaged, lower the armor value of future pylon hits by 1.
5-6:  A pylon is destroyed lower the armor value of the central core by 2.  If 4 pylons are destroyed the shield generator is destroyed.

Central Core:
1: The attack causes an energy discharge from the shield striking the attacking model for 1 s4 hit.  If it strikes a vehicle it has an armor pen value of 5d3 +1d10
2-4: The attack destroys a pylon connected to the core. Lower the armor value of the central core by 2.  If 4 pylons are destroyed the shield generator is destroyed.
5: The attack destroys two pylons connected to the Core. Lower the armor value of the central core by 4.  If 4 pylons are destroyed the shield generator is destroyed.
6:  The Shield Generator is Destroyed and forms an event Horizon.  All models within 2d6 inches are also Destroyed.


Orbital Canon Hit Location Table
1-5: Armor Plating - Armor 18
6: Main Battery - Armor 20

Armor Plating:
1-4: Armor Plating damage, Lower the armor of future attacks on the armor plating table by 1
5-6: Plating Destroyed. At 1 to all future rolls on the orbital canon hit location Table: Cumulative.

Main Battery - Main Cannon HP 3
1: The attack somehow strikes an out going orbital attack causing shrapnel to strike the battlefield.  Center a 5 inch template 2d6 inches in a random direction from the gun.  Models struck suffer a str 8 hit.  Standard template rules.
2-4: The attack hits the main cannon.  If this location is struck 3 times the orbital canon is destroyed.
5: The Attack critically hits the main canon. This counts as 2 strikes. A 3rd strike will destroy the cannon.
6: A attack deflects into the ammo supply of the cannon which causes secondary explosions sending shrapnel across the battlefield.  Every model on all tables takes a str 6 hit. This alls causes 1 strike on the main canon.
