Salvage Wars! Red vs Blue - a Battletech Alpha Strike Event

What is it? 

Salvage Wars is a blind buy salvage box event.  The entry fee provides two(2) Battletech Salvage Boxes for players to use in a large group take and hold battle.


Buy In: $20 for gate crashers, $25 for non-members.  Purchase grants event entry and two (2) salvage boxes for use during the event.  Game set up and buy in starts at 6pm with round 1 beginning at 630pm.  Game play ends at 930 or round designated by event staff.

Players may trade salvage boxes if they wish prior to game start.

Players are split between two teams designated red and blue.  Players will be given an appropriate color sticker to apply to their models base for identification friend or foe (IFF).


Alpha Strike Cards: Players must use the provided Alpha Strike cards included in their salvage boxes. The may choose whichever side of the mechs card they prefer. No era limits.


Drop In, Drop out: Late players may join the game at the start of any round and move onto a friendly table edge during the movement phase. We ask that any players that need to leave before the end of the event leave at the end of a battle round.


Mission: Take and Hold

There will be 6 objective buildings (3 per table).  The objective becomes held when a friendly mech scans the building and is uncontested.

Building Scan: Sacrifice a mechs weapon phase to scan an objective building while within 6”

Contested: enemy mechs within 6” scramble enemy scans and prevent change of possession. 

Destroyed mechs: Destroyed units may return to the battle by moving onto the table via friendly table edge in the next subsequent round.

Scoring: Teams gain 1 victory points for each objective held at the end of a round. 


Rules addendum:

All pilots are skill 4.

SPA’s and formation rules are not in effect.

Playing card initiative: at the start of each round, each player will receive a playing card that indicates when their two mechs will activate in the movement phase.  The order is lowest to highest.  Players with the same number card activate black before red and alphabetical.  Clubs - Spades - Diamonds - Hearts

Player equipment: players should bring their own measureing tools, dry erase pen, rule books and dice (for rolling and marking TMM).  TMM tokens are also ok

Flash Point Campaign

What is Flash Point? The Flash Point Campaign System is a yearly campaign with minimal book keeping and time commitment.  The campaign is broken up into the 4 seasons of winter, spring, summer and fall.  During those seasons players will coordinate with the campaign manager to select game nights to play flash point missions that will add to their team’s score. Players are broken into teams of Xenos, Imperium and Chaos. Players participate in one themed gamed per Flash Point Night and earn 2 points for winning their game and 1 point for playing fully painted. Players play games against opposing factions. Black Parade: an Alpha Strike Scenario

  Premise: The local noble family is participating in a parade in their capital city. Though their security forces have warned them against participating they have insisted on going.  Their enemy have seized the opportunity that has be presented and sent an assassination force to destroy the parade convoy. Set Up:  The table should be a city scape with a large number of buildings.  Designate one short edge to be the parades starting location.  The other short edge will be the escape edge. Deployment: Defender: The defender moves their units onto the table during the first round from the parade start table edge. Attacker: The attacker may deploy up to two(2) units of infantry or battle armor inside of buildings anywhere on the table during the first round.  All other units move onto the table from either long edge during the second round.
