What is Flash Point? The Flash Point Campaign System is a yearly campaign with minimal book keeping and time commitment.  The campaign is broken up into the 4 seasons of winter, spring, summer and fall.  During those seasons players will coordinate with the campaign manager to select game nights to play flash point missions that will add to their team’s score. Players are broken into teams of Xenos, Imperium and Chaos. Players participate in one themed gamed per Flash Point Night and earn 2 points for winning their game and 1 point for playing fully painted. Players play games against opposing factions. Flash Point Night? Players work with the game manager to determine when the next Flash Point Night is.  The manager will try to give 2 weeks notice to the participants. The Second War of Futuris Clevelandis Narrative Campaign Coming this Winter to Drawbridge Games. This is a three part narrative campaign that will be taking place on alternating Thursdays  The Second War of Futuris Clevelandis: Violent warp storms have erupted around the Ohioa System.  The warp instability has damaged and cut the transit of a number of chaos and xenos ships causing them to be trapped in the system requiring repairs. Luckily an Imperial world with sufficient manufacturing capability is within the system, Futuris Clevelandis.  The ships limp towards the planet intent on taking what they need to escape the system.  Though some may just decide planetary conquest will be more fun. ___ What do players need? Lily wandered through the settlement a frown on her face.  A hunting party should have been sent out, but for the life of her, she couldn’t remember if anyone had been sent. “Whose hut is that?” she wondered.  It looked recently lived in but she couldn’t remember who lived there.  Shrugging, she went about her business. Strange weather continued. Acid rain threated to ruin the settlements supplies and the survivors had to dismantle some infrastructure to prevent the damage. With food running low, Frisky, Ignis the 2nd, Wesley and Sheba went off to hunt a Gorm in its lair.  Things were going well with the beast was bleeding out.  In a frenzy it trampled Frisky to death.  Spinning around it wretched acidic vomit, melting Wesley.  Sheba and Ignis scrambled around trying to land the killing blow. Two acid baths later none of the hunters were left. Back at the settlement, sickness swept through taking Lily’s and Motorboat’s lives.  Compound...

The people of New Tica Town sent Sherlock, Speedy, Maize and McGhee off to discover the source of the strange feather that had floated into their settlement.  The hunters dealt with a few minor hazards as well as a strange shift in their reality. To their shock they realized they had forgotten their names. The hunting party renamed themselves, Slowy, Pumpkin, TriPod and Motorboat. Eventually they discovered a huge winged monster in a strange tree. The strange Phoenix warped reality around it and swooped in to attack the intruders.  The party fought desperately trying to deal with the time dilation the creature caused and the stresses it placed on their minds.  Pumpkin fell during the fight, leaking blood from his eyes,ears, nose and mouth.Tripod lost her name, she became a girl with no name.  The creature was eventually slain but it caused a heavy toll on the party.  Motorboat’s future was shredded, causing infertility. Off to a great start with my personal painting challenge.  I’ve successfully painted 40 models for the month of November and I’m quite pleased with my self.  Most are only tabletop quality, but I tried to push myself with some new techniques.  I was very happy with the male ogre I did where I was working with layering skin tones.  The blending wasn’t the greatest but from a step back you can see the tone variations. For December, I’ve set the goal of assembling and painting all of the mini’s for Warhammer Quest: Blackstone Fortress.  A friend and I will be getting into the campaign for that in January.

Lantern years 5 & 6 went interestingly.  We had a pretty easy time with a white lion with the exception of Speedy getting the ironic injury of a shattered hip lowering his speed to 4.  We built more of a white lion set and then dealt with Armored Strangers in our settlement.  They destroyed an innovation which we then had to replace with endeavors. Wanting a bit of variety we went after a Screaming Antelope next and had a pretty easy time of it.  The AI deck was thinned out pretty early so we had time to farm for items from the map.  We didn’t have much luck with salvaging the plants or bugs.  On the down side, Lily gained Hoarder.  Apparently all the characters I play are cursed.  On five out six lantern years the character I take on a hunt has either suffered death, disorder or serious injury. We rejoin the survivors of New Tica Town as they prepare for their third lantern year hunt.  Hoping to gather more white lion materials they set off into the darkness to hunt one of the large cats.  Ignis, Speedy, Maize and Gunboat made up the hunting party. Ignis lead the party into the darkness initially where they encountered a Sea of Golden Grass.   Moving through it carefully, they closed in on their prey.  Maize took point as they moved through the grasses. A short while later they discovered a disturbing Lion’s Sculpture .  Perturbed they continued on, finding Signs of Battle .  Distracted by the remains the beast’s previous meal the survivors were ambushed! The ferocious monster pounced on Maize and dragged her away from the party.  Though this Lion was stronger than the last two, it quickly fell the the combined bone axes, swords, daggers and bone darts of the hunters.  Unfortunately Speedy was disturbed by the creatures ro...
